So I decided to take the Z out yesterday since it was very cold, but bone dry out. I went to the mall to do some last minute X-Mass shopping and as I take a left turn in the parking lot, I see this fool coming at me with half his car in my lane! I looked to my right and saw that I had all the room in the world to swirve out of his way, and I did so. Little did I know that there was a small concrete lane-divider right there (about 4 or 5" high I'm guessing) but there was no way I could see it. So I climbed on the curb, slightly scratched the facia but the wheels took a beating. The wheels are 18" Advan model 5. The front wheel took most of the hit and is in pretty bad shape. From the pics shown, does the wheel look fixable or not? Are there DIY wheel fixing instructions out there? I have access to all the tools I need including an oxygen torch, so any advice on how to fix this would be great! I'm guessing heating up the aluminum to reshape it would eventually lead to cracking? Help me out here guys... | | | | | | | | | | |
